A month ago I decided to broaden my horizons and visit a place in Peru I frankly have never heard about before, Cerro Azul, Blue Hill. The view was a treat as you’ll be able to tell by the photographs.
I arrived Saturday at around 6pm which meant I was lucky enough to catch the sun saying goodbye for the day. It was a great opportunity for me to walk along the pier and be able to take some amazing photographs which I thoroughly enjoyed! The evenings are rather cool and the weather during the day can be quite warm, the sand especially! So don’t forget flip flops of you want to wonder around the beach! Not only so that you don’t burn your skin but It’s terribly unfortunate to witness so much rubbish and health hazards such as glass thrown onto the sand and into the water, which is not pretty and downgrades the beach a lot! It also became super full within a couple of hours of being there, I went to the beach at around 9am in order to get a decent spot but in the afternoon be careful to not get hit by the many playing volleyball!
The beach was mediocre to say the best, however it is great for those who love surfing because the waves can get pretty high and intense in the sea! But Peru is filled with crazy waves and beaches that I still ought to explore! I have to say I’m glad I didn’t spend much more time there, the environment just was not my style, the amount of people selling ice cream however definitely was my style! And apart from the ice cream and me achieving a decent tan, I would not recommend Cerro Azul it provides little attractiveness and uniqueness that I can mention, let alone the disturbances by many people asking ridiculous questions when one is trying to relax!
