A day to explore Chester, United Kingdom

On my way back from the beautiful Wales, I opted to take some time out and visit a friend in Chester. Having onto been on the outskirts before and visiting the zoo, I had never delved into the city itself.

The city was vibrant with markets, and stores abundantly present as people shopped on Saturday. I briskly walked past the Cathedral and tiny streets with a mix of both old-fashioned and modern stores.

Its high street is made from a vast amount of stores, as well as its shopping centre with its fair share of pubs and good places to eat. Although its main attraction is Chester zoo, it is also nice to take some time out to enjoy the city once there.

  2. I caught my biggest fish ever in a lake near Chester. This is of no importance whatsoever, it wasn’t even particularly big. Gave up fishing after that. Go out on a high is my motto.

    1. Haha, sounds awesome! I only ever went fishing twice in my life, not awesome at it but I did manage to catch a few little ones, maybe one day I should add more to my collection! I may try to go fishing in Chester next time, thank you for the suggestion 🙂

      1. ..and did you know that Chester has the oldest horse racing course in the UK that is still in use. Goes back to the 1500s. I’m a mine of useless information.
